Brody the pac rat!

I was looking the other morning for my baby's mesh feeder. I couldn't find it anywhere! He loves to gnaw on his apple slices we put in the feeder. I was quite perplexed as to where it went.

Fast forward a few hours and I am working at the table on my laptop. Brody had crawled into the kitchen and pulled out the drawer under the oven and was banging pots and pans and low and behold he had stashed his little feeders inside the oven drawer.

Now realize I dont usually let him play in there. He usually gets about 10 seconds before I am up and finding him something else to do. So I am not sure when he had time to do this. It must have been under Daddy's supervision while my daughter and I were at the Nutcracker!

However they got there it was funny to turn around and see my little pack rat at work!

We went fishing on the Titanic...

I the middle of no where it gets really cold. The river freezes over and the big thing to do is ice fish.
This year the temperatures have been a roller coaster. One day it is 5 below and the next a balmy 38 degrees. The river hasn't frozen over completely yet and we took the boat out one last time. It was fun except for dodging the little icebergs in our river! I thought for sure we were going to go under when we hit a couple! When we pulled the boat out some of the ice had floated on to the boat trailer and came out of the river with the boat!

I only got a couple of pictures - Kelty had started breaking them up before I got to snap a photo!

Thankfully we made it home!

The Nutcracker...

This was Kelty's Third year dancing in the Nutcracker.

This year she was in 3 different dances, and played an extra part in the end of the dream sequence.

My favorite was her as a French Jester - it really fit her personality!

The girls did a wonderful job. They really wanted tgo make their teacher proud! She is currently battling cancer. This was probably the first year ever she was able to sit back and watch all her dancers perform.

It was a wonderful afternoon and really put you in the holdiay spirit!

Now time to get ready for COMPETITION!!

I am so going to make these two next spring.
Hanging Gutter planter and Storage organizer for backyard tools and toys!

I might make this for Brody's room too. There is a perfect spot for it! What a great idea for a magnetic board.. better then my fridge because my kitchen is tiny!

I found some fabulous shoes that will not be so practical in 2 foot of snow. But none the less I am in love with them.

Maybe I will get a pair to change into and wear around the office :)

 

So many great ideas for gifts, projects to do with my daughter and great ways to recycle sweater and books that are falling apart!

The only question I have is why didn't anyone tell me about this site sooner!?!?
