Montana...

Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Montana...
If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May, you may live in Montana. If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't even work there, you may live in Montana. If you've worn shorts and a jacket at the same time, you may live in Montana. If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who d.........ialed a wrong number, you may live in Montana. If "vacation" means going anywhere south of Missoula for the weekend, you may live in Montana. If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Montana. If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Montana. If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' in the same day and back again, you may live in Montana. If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you may live in Montana. If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both doors unlocked, you may live in Montana. If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Montana. If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you may live in Montana. If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -you're going 80 and everybody is passing you, you may live in California. If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you may live in Montana. If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction, you may live in Montana. If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car, you may live in Montana. If you find 10 degrees "a little chilly", you may live in Montana....

I love pinterest!!!

Pinterest is an amazing website. I could spend all day on there!
There are wonderful style ideas, DIY projects for kids, holidays, home, food and so much more.
Here are some of my wonderful finds this week...

I am so going to make these two next spring.
Hanging Gutter planter and Storage organizer for backyard tools and toys!

I might make this for Brody's room too. There is a perfect spot for it! What a great idea for a magnetic board.. better then my fridge because my kitchen is tiny!

I found some fabulous shoes that will not be so practical in 2 foot of snow. But none the less I am in love with them.

Maybe I will get a pair to change into and wear around the office :)

So many great ideas for gifts, projects to do with my daughter and great ways to recycle sweater and books that are falling apart!
Sweater mittens, story book banners, and fabric birdhouses.

The only question I have is why didn't anyone tell me about this site sooner!?!?

Jewelry Storage!

Could I be any more excited? Nope!

I love pinterest. I am going crazy over this site. So many great ideas!

Today I found this... on pinterest! (I have no idea if I added this to my blog correctly!) But you can find it @ http://www.etsy.com/listing/61764741/printers-drawer-jewelry-display. But I did not want to pay $116. I am all about saving myself some moola.

I found a bunch for sale on ebay. An auction that ended in 8 hours and some minutes. No one had bid on it. So I did. $9.99 was the opening bid. I watched it periodically throughout the day. After dinner I grabbed my lap top and logged in. I was still winning! Then with 3 minutes left I was out bid! I never watch an auction this closely but I was REALLY excited. I bid again and I was winning again. Then with one minute to go I was out bid! AND my lap top shut down!!! Oh please smart phone work fast today!! I logged right into ebay from my Droid. It was taking forever!!! Then I was in with 3 SECONDS!! Oh please I paid and bid and....

I won one!!! $13 plus shipping! Yep I am excited. My earrings will no longer be piled on a shelf entangled with my necklaces and bracelets!! I will share a picture when the project is completed!

Concretion

So when I was out hiking around with my hubby and no children I stumbled onto these little round balls. I picked them up and they were kind of heavy for their size. I thought hmmm slugs from the civil war...except the civil war occurred no where near my hiking location. Then my hubby found a larger one and informed me they are called Sandstone balls.

I showed my daughter thinking I would have something really cool to tell her. She of course says oh you found Sandstone balls! My utter disappointment mixed with impressed surprise. She already new what Sandstone balls are. I couldn't surprise her with something rather she educated me. They get really big she said, like a soccer ball! I looked them up and its actually called concretion. Minerals mix with the sand and solidify it all together like concrete. Now I want to spot a really large one!

SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!

We got our first snow this weekend. It was pretty much just a dusting of snow. The wind blew it all away. This made me sad because I want to get my snow shoes out!! It also made me sad because I ordered a baby boggan from ideeli and I want there to be snow so I can try it out! Isn't it cute!

But I am also grateful we didn't get two feet of snow because I can still drive my car! When it starts that is!! I spent 20 minutes trying to get my car to start this morning. I was so cold by the time it finally roared to life I could hardly move my fingers. I guess I should have worn some gloves!
Here is my car the first year I moved here. The snow had started to melt.... My car has never quite acclimated I don't think! It really is time for a new one. This car has seen me through alot. But who wants to have a car payment ugh!

New to me necklace...

I got this beautiful vintage necklace yesterday. It was more like a choker though. It wasn't fitting nope not at all so I made some changes.

I removed the clasp with my handy curved needle nose pliers...

Then I added this beautiful ribbon and waaaaa la. I have a new vintage necklace that fits...

My Gramma's...

This is My Gramma Kaup. She got to meet my son over Easter and every time I look at this photo my eyes get all teary. I love my family and I am really missing them even more as the holidays approach. My Gramma is a wonderful lady she may get your name wrong every now and then but it always makes me smile. She likes to watch sports on TV and use to travel all over the world with my Grandpa when he was still alive. oh getting teary again.

The is my Gramma Holcomb. She also go to meet my son over Easter weekend. We stayed at her house and my Gramma Kaup came for an early Easter dinner. My Gramma has always spoiled me! I look forward to my hand made chocolates and my angel ornament at christmas every year. Yes I am over 30 years old and my Gramma still sends me christams ornaments. Angels. Love it!
